Beschreibung
Diese Panoramaaufnahme zeigt die steilen, tief eingeschnittenen Felswände des Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park in Colorado. Rostbraune, beige, graue und anthrazitfarbene Formationen kontrastieren mit sonnenbeschienenen Klippen und schattigen Schluchten unter klarem Himmel.
Geschichte
Die Aufnahme entstand am 2. Oktober 2010 im Bereich des Painted Wall View Trail im Montrose County, Colorado. Zu sehen sind massive freiliegende Felswände, zerklüftete Grate, schmale Schluchten, spärliche Vegetation und ein felsiger Vordergrund. Gerichtetes Tageslicht beleuchtet die rechte Klippe, während die zentrale Schlucht und die dunkleren Formationen im Schatten liegen.
