Description
A river flows through a wooded canyon beneath layered red and orange sandstone cliffs in Zion National Park, Utah. The panoramic landscape shows shallow rapids, rounded boulders, dense vegetation, distant ridges and warm low-angle light.
Story
The river leads from the foreground through the canyon toward distant layered ridges, creating strong depth across the vertical panoramic composition. Rounded boulders, shallow ripples, dense green and muted yellow vegetation, tall sandstone cliffs and a pale-blue sky define the scene. Captured on October 8, 2010, the image records warm low-angle light across the canyon walls during autumn.
