Story
Captured in summer from an elevated viewpoint at Bänisegg, the image looks across a rugged glacier basin near Grindelwald in the Bern region of Switzerland. The central glacier displays exposed gray ice and crevasses, while narrow waterfalls descend the surrounding rock faces. Dense cloud partially covers the higher ridges, creating soft, diffuse light and subdued gray, white, blue-gray and muted green tones. No people, buildings or signs are visible.
