Description
A carefully shaped evergreen tree stands at the center of a landscaped gravel courtyard beside a traditional Japanese-style building at Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine. Pruned shrubs, a low wooden fence, a red gate, mature trees, and a Japanese sign complete the autumn garden scene in Saitama.
Story
Captured on 19 October 2008, the image presents a carefully shaped evergreen tree rising above a gravel courtyard beside a traditional Japanese-style building. Pruned shrubs, a low wooden fence, a small red gate or railing, a large natural stone, and a vertical sign with Japanese characters are visible in the garden. The partly cloudy daylight and autumn setting give the scene a natural documentary quality.
