Story
Captured on 25 October 2008, the image looks across the Nippon Maru waterfront site from an elevated viewpoint. The ship’s white hull, three tall masts, rigging, spars, and bowsprit dominate the composition, while dockside walkways, trees, stairways, the waterfront basin, high-rise buildings, and the Ferris wheel add depth. The overcast autumn daylight gives the Yokohama cityscape a soft, documentary character.
