Story
The image looks across a natural mountain lake toward forested lower slopes, steep layered rock faces, jagged peaks, and pale snow or ice remaining in the mountain gullies. Soft partly cloudy daylight brings out the blue-green water and atmospheric depth across the Canadian Rockies. The photograph was captured on 16 August 2015 near Johnson Lake Road in Anthracite, within Improvement District No. 9 and Banff National Park, Alberta.
